Brown rice is the new craze especially for those who are suffering from diabetes and to those who want to lose weight. Did you know that it can also be cereal for your little ninja?
As we said, we have to start them young. Their taste buds are still malleable and your Baby Bullet Brown Rice Cereal will make a difference. Why brown rice, you may ask?
This colored rice (there are also red, black and purple rice that is sued by other cultural groups during festivals) is the “unrefined” white rice. There are two choices for the brown rice: the semi-milled and unhusked ones. The unhusked brown rice has still got the hull and bran that gives it the wholeness. Brown rice is rich in selenium, calcium, thiamine, fiber, potassium and proteins.
Because of the much milling and refinement of the white rice, the necessary nutrients have been stripped. Unlike white rice, brown rice is considered complete whole grain and is best for your baby’s need for its rapid growth phase.
It is also easy to prepare and you can make a homemade puree without spending toomuch. You do not need to buy those boxes from the supermarket with its expensive marketing ads. Instead make your own and order the rice from your locally supported farmer.
Cooking time is just 4 minutes and preparation using the Baby Bullet is just one minute.
What to prepare?
Just prepare 1/2 cup of organic brown rice. This can make 4 to 6 servings for your baby.
How to Prepare?
1. Put your brown rice in the Baby Bullet Batch Bowl, grind for a minute or less. As long as it is finely blended. You can cook it all and store later using several storage techniques. The best way is using your Baby Bullet’s storage cups.
2. Boil 1/2 cup of water then put it into the Baby Bullet Bowl. Mix until consistent and creamy.
3. Bon appetit to your baby!
You can serve it together with banana, or little cut out carrot sticks. Just don’t let the cereal stay for more than a week. It would be best for baby to consume it while it is warm, you can also add milk (formula or breastmilk) while serving this cereal.
Hope you and your baby has a good start. Happy eating!
