Broccolis are good if your baby is constipated. It is best served for babies 6 to 7 months old as puree or you can use it as a finger food too (cut in small chewable pieces). Just one medium-sized broccoli will make puree of 7 to 8 ounces.
Ingredient Selection Tips:
- Harvest time is for broccoli is usually starting at October until April. In the tropics, it is available from February to May. For safer and healthier puree, choose organic and the fresh ones.
- Choose broccoli that has deep green color on its florets and the stalks are light green.
- Select the one with florets that are clustered and color is uniform and no yellows. Also not with flower already blossoming since this means it is already very mature and has a bitter aftertaste.
