It is not summer but this fruity combination will make you feel like you are on a vacation. And of course, your baby will feel the bursting sensation of coolness.
This is very easy to prepare, 10 minutes tops and surely your baby will give you that toothless happy grin. You will be needing medium-sized apple, pear, strawberries, blueberries (optional) and a crumbled rusk (used for baby’s teething. We will be putting a recipe also for this). If you do not have the rusk, you can add banana instead. Just make sure your baby is not allergic to berries.
Better also to prepare this when fruits are plentiful and in season. But as they say, we can always bring back summer.
Ingredient Selection Tips
- For the berries (strawberry, blueberry or raspberry), choose the ones with vibrant colors and with shiny skin. These are delicate ones so check out for bruises especially when you buy it in trays or baskets. It can be stored fresh up to 3 days. Or you can put it in the fridge in an air tight sealed container.
- Choose the firm apples and pear, medium sized ones is enough for one serving.
- For bananas, also select the ripe yet firm ones. You can try cavendish variety and one medium size can suffice your baby’s cravings.
